Upgrading my XV6800 for Windows Mobile 6.0 to 6.1 plus GPS

Yeah well I so wished this went a little smoother, but hey the results are in and i upgrade and my phone does in fact make phone calls now.

The upgrading process, when I flashed my first phone the Sch-i730(Samsung), I researched I lot more about the Rom version and mistakes of other people that did it online... Well not this time I didn't research or anything I just downloaded the most current version I could find for the big V (Verizon)(dcd_titan_3.0.4_vzw). Well after going no where with that direct approach I thought that maybe I needed to up grade the bootloader, after that I successfully flashed the new rom... but got stuck at the VZW splash screen. Well knowing that there are Roms and Radios I figured that the old radio wasn't capable with the new rom. Off to search the internet for a new Rom I found the Radio (Titan_Radio_3.27.00.exe) and installed soon as I found it. Well long story short go here to see a list of the right Roms and Radios(forum.xda-developers.com).

So after finding out that the newer Roms that work with the Dcd 3.0.4 Rom only can be installed by using the Micro SD card method, which I currently don't own... I went down to an older Rom and now am running WM 6.1 with unlocked GPS.

Note to people updating to save your self mass confusion visit the xda forums and look there or I found this site that looks like they explain the steps pretty good www.phonenews.com.

-Good luck
